Where It Started

When I was a child, an unhoused man approached me during a school field trip and asked for something to eat. Without hesitation, I gave him my entire lunch.

In that moment, I was struck by something I had never experienced before—a grown man asking a child for something so basic as a meal.

That moment stayed with me. It shaped how I see people, dignity, and responsibility to others.

Over time, I’ve witnessed the realities of housing instability across different communities. While conditions vary, one truth remains: no community reaches its full potential if people are left behind.

Real change happens when we choose to act—consistently, intentionally, and together.
